High
performance embedded components begin with compact, high Q inductors and capacitors. JMD uses proprietary
EDA tools to generate layouts for capacitors and inductors automatically in a wide variety of sizes
and shapes to go into compact devices like baluns, filters, diplexers and couplers. JMD has developed
an extensive library of over 500,000 individual components to allow our designers to rapidly develop
RF passive devices for wireless modules. A unique feature of the JMD tools is the coupling
between what the designer uses and what our fabrication suppliers actually produce. By using a process
of continuous feedback from process control data, our designers are able to meet stringent RF performance
requirements while insuring maximum yield.

also has an extensive library of modeled and tested embedded devices for WiFi and WiMax frequency bands.
Designed for maximum re-usability, each device has been built to meet stringent RF system requirements
for minimum loss, maximum stop band attenuation, high isolation and accurate matching and balance.
The unique structure of the MLO substrate provides separation between devices and ground layers
to insure maximum Q and to minimize coupling outside of the package.
